The Washington Nationals are one of the most recent additions to Major League Baseball league. However the history of the franchise dates back to the days of the Montreal Expos who were the first major league team in Canada.
The team featured All Star third baseman Ryan Zimmerman who helped entertain Washington Nationals ticket buyers by slugging 33 home runs, scoring 110 runs with an outstanding total of 106 RBIs at the end of the year. The big moment during the year was when Zimmerman posted a 30 game hitting streak early in the season joining baseball legends Rico Cary and George Sisler as the only players since 1900 to keep a streak alive so early in a new season. Zimmerman was in the top 10 in many offensive categories at the end of the season and for 2010 he will certainly be considered as one of the most exciting players to check out.
