The Warburg was a seniors' tour, known as the UBS Cup, until it was disbanded in 2004.

The UBS Warburg Cup was senior tournament golf at its best. It had a small purse but loyal following. Arnold Palmer was the Cup's permanent team captain. He is the only team captain in professional golf that has lead his team to a victory in every event that a tournament has ever held for the duration of an entire tournament. Even though the UBS Cup did not continue after 2004, it has been remembered as a record-breaking tournament and has served as a model for many PGA events, like the Ryder Cup and European Seniors Tour.
The Warburg Cup was PGA sanctioned until the tour was dismantled in 2004. Each team consisted of players just below and just above the age of 50. In 2003, Scott Hoch won the last hole to tie the match. Controversially, this allowed the U.S. Team to retain the Cup until 2004. The U.S. won in 2004, retaining the Warburg Cup forever because the tournament was discontinued that same year.
