For over 18 years, the National Hockey League's Toronto Maple Leafs team has pushed themselves to new heights in front of thousands of hockey fans in the event formally known as The Toronto Maple Leafs Skills Competition. It is a ticket to excitement to see the blue & white gladiators of the ice rink. The players separate into two teams (team White and team Blue). Known quite literally as a Goalie Goal, a ticket to the Toronto Maple Leafs annual Skills Competition guarantees a perfect vantage point to hockey greatness.

A Power Play Challenge is a test to determine which team is most equipped to take on the play. While an opposing player is serving a penalty, and the opposing team has the advantage of more players in game play, as many as two players per side are allowed to work from the penalty box. As this gives a team up to a possible 5-on-3 power play, it as a sophisticated skill that is coveted within the sport.

Towards the end of the competition, the players participate in a Survivor Shoot-Out, both alone and then as a team. If need be, a player can earn a ticket into a shoot-out to decide who is going to survive the event and who is not.

This is a part of the overall event in which the both the individual player and then team White and team Blue face off against each other and combine skills that are, in actuality, the foundational culmination of the events that precede it.
