The NFL Experience Tickets

The NFL Experience is an exhibit that has been done by the NFL for almost two decades as part of the National Football League's (NFL) Super Bowl week festivities. The Super Bowl is the league Championship game played every February in a city designated a few years before by the league. The cities are chosen for either their good weather in February or the fact that they possess a domed stadium so that weather will not be a factor in the game's outcome.

The NFL is a result of the merger in the late 1960s of the rival NFL and American Football League (AFL) to form the new NFL. Currently there are some 32 teams in the league with 16 in the National Football Conference (NFC) and an equal number in the American Football Conference (AFL). These teams are further broken down into Divisions with four teams in each and are usually geographically related. This breeds rivalries within the Divisions (Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins or Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins are just two legendary examples) that can be in play all the regular season and then come to the forefront during the playoffs. When one rival team is having a losing season they often take the regular season games against their rivals to be as much as a Super Bowl and put all they can into the game to be a spoiler.

With the growing parity of the NFL the games are more competitive and even power house teams find it hard to repeat as Division or Conference Champions with some not making the playoffs the year following a Super Bowl appearance. This gives the game a better sense of equality and lives closer to the ideal of any team being able to beat any other team on any given Sunday (though they play games on a variety of days of the week now).

These factors contribute to making the Super Bowl more engaging as, no matter what the statistics 'predict', the game must still be played. Once the time runs out it has been often the favorite who is not claiming the Vince Lombardi Trophy, but the underdog.
