Super Bowl Pre-Party: Lil Jon is a Super Bowl Week party that is a fusion of sports-music-entertainment-business. Full of music, dancing, beautiful people from sports and entertainment Lil Jon has hosted a party that is younger and more diverse than many of the more corporate themed parties.
The Two Conferences that make up the NFL are the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). Each conference has 16 teams broken into four Divisions of four teams each. The four Division winners and two Wild Card teams begin the playoff rounds the week after the end of the regular season. The Wild Card teams are often not known until the last day of the season as it is by win/loss records within Divisions that determine who play whom.
The Wild Card Round begins when the Wild Card teams play at the lowest Division winners' stadiums. The Division Round sees the winners of the Wild Card play two Division winners with the most victories. These teams have rested an extra week, the goal for each team at the beginning of the season. The Division Round victors meet in the Conference game. Two weeks later and it is the Super Bowl.
Super Bowls are numbered using Roman numerals simply because the games came into being as the newly merged NFL came into existence at the end of the 1960s. Since the creation of the championship game the NFL has a slight lead in wins over the AFL.
That the Super Bowl has grown to be a cultural phenomenon cannot be denied. The event and its various parties from Lil Jon's to all the millions of home based parties consume almost as much food and beverages as Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter making it quite a festive occasion for many sponsors. And it gets bigger each year.
The event is celebrates is the National Football League's (NFL) Championship game that is played each February. In that game the two survivors of the NFL Conference playoffs meet in a city designated as the host of the Super Bowl to decide American professional footballs best team.
