New York Knicks Tickets

No matter how theyre doing this season, real fans buy Knicks and go to the games. It really doesn't matter to most diehard New Yorkers. Matter what their record is, and for many years it's been poor. New Yorkers buy Knicks tickets and show up. With some recent changes to their roster and management though, it looks like the Knicks may have a good year this time around. Hiring Donnie Walsh, who hired former Suns coach Mike D'Antoni seems that a brilliant idea on the part of Knicks owner James Dolan. Even with these changes, the team, who really need to pull together to justify its nearness to the edge of the salary cap.

Like the Boston Celtics, the New York Knicks enjoyed the distinction of being only one of two teams in the NBA that still play in their original home city. The first game, the New York Knicks ever played was on November 1, 1946. They played the Toronto Huskies up in Toronto. In the earliest days, the Knicks were frequently playoff contenders. The team took a nose dive in the early 60s coming in last in their division for six years in a row. They routinely took beatings from teams like the Lakers, including one that ended with in a humiliating 162-100 defeat. Another memorable defeat came at the hands of what Chamberlain, who scored 100 points against the Knicks in one game, an NBA record at the time. Even with these disgraces, the Knicks sold out tickets to some games the fans are just that faithful.

Things changed in 1967, with the addition of Willis Reed, who took the next to the playoffs. Under legendary coach Red Holzman, the Knicks were regulars at the playoffs for the next few seasons. In 1970, the Knicks beat the Lakers to win the NBA finals. They repeated this feat in 1972. In 1974, the Knicks loss to the Boston Celtics was a season ender. For decades since then, the New York Knicks have turned in roller coaster-like records.

New York fans are a faithful bunch. True fans are not content to watch from their living rooms they buy Knicks tickets to be right there with the action, to hear every dribble, and every swoosh, to cheer and to jeer with their fellow New Yorkers. And the best way to make sure you get to see your team in person is to get your Knicks tickets online. The Knicks have a long and sad history of poor hires. Players like Marbury, Curry, Jeffries, James, and Randolph are evidence of a tendency to hire talent without maturity. The disappointment caused by these players has left some rotten spots in the Big Apple's favorite basketball team. Some of these players are famous for putting an i in the word team, characterized by selfish and less than dazzling play.

There is hope though. And fans are looking for Knicks tickets online to watch a handful of players including Nate Robinson, David Lee, Danilo Gallinari, and Jamal Crawford. By far the best on the team, Crawford is most frequently credited with being the driving force for New York Knicks tickets. Where has it that the 2010 season may open with Lebron James and Chris Bosh donning Knicks uniforms.
