Lance Burton Tickets

Lance Burton has been a superstar magician for many years. Variety has called him 'one of the top 10 magicians of all time.' He performed for President Reagn and Queen Elizabeth. He has also performed over 15,000 shows in his career, and has been voted Best Magician for over a decade by The Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Once Burton came of age, he was quickly anointed by Johnny Carson, and his career exploded from there. Vegas has also been Burton's home away from home, where he's been entertaining and delighting audiences for many years now.

The Magic Road to Stardom

Lance Burton hails from Louisville Kentucky, and he first wanted to be a magician when he was five. As a child, he volunteered to be an assistant out of the audience for a magician performing at a Christmas party. The magician did the time honored trick of pulling silver dollars out of nowhere, including out of Burton's ears.

Burton thought, 'What a great way to make money and people like you too.' From that point forward, Burton knew what he wanted to be when he grew up, and he never changed course.

A neighbor of Burton's gave him a book, Magic Made Easy, and Burton learned all the tricks in it, then he started performing for the kids in the neighborhood for a nickel admission.

The magician who first performed magic for Burton when he was five, Harry Collins, became Burton's mentor when he was a teenager. Burton entered his first magic competition and won first prize when he was still a teenage, then got a Gold Medal of Excellence from the International Brotherhood of Magicians when he was twenty.

Burton Breaks Through

Not long after winning his Gold Medal of Excellence, Burton performed on The Tonight Show. Johnny Carson, who was a big fan of magic and an amateur magician himself, liked Burton so much he let Lance perform for twelve minutes on the show, which was unheard of. Later Carson would call Burton, 'Best I've ever seen, a beautiful classy act.'

Burton ended up performing a total of ten times for Carson, as well as five times for Jay Leno. Burton also had four of his own network specials, and would also have a guest spot on Knight Rider as a magician villain.

Burton's Magic in Vegas

Burton performed at the Folies Bergere in Vegas for close to ten years. He also won the Federation International Society of Magic Grand Prize in Switzerland, the youngest magician to win, and the first American magician to win as well.

Burton also signed a deal to perform at the Monte Carlo Resort for 13 years, reportedly the longest running contract ever signed by a Vegas performer, and the Monte Carlo built Burton his own $27 million dollar theater.

Magical Acclaim

Lance Burton is one of the most acclaimed magicians in modern history. The Academy of Magical Arts gave him the Magician of the Year award twice, and he also won the Blackstone Theater Award in 1998.

Burton also has the respect of his magician peers, including Siegried and Roy, who said Burton 'is great for the art of magic because he brings his own touch of class to the stage.' Criss Angel has also called him, 'the best magic show in Las Vegas.'
