- The Pacers have retired the jerseys of George McGinnis, Reggie Miller, Mel Daniels, Roger Brown and Bobby 'Slick Leonard. All of the players mentioned here happen to have numbers in the 30's.
- Bobby 'Slick' Leonard led the Pacers to three ABA Championships before the ABA merged with the NBA in 1976.

The 2007-08 season was a sign of growth for the Pacers.
