The Hollywood Reporter has called him 'a combination of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey,' and he's even done a three minute act of Robin Williams performing everyone in The Wizard of Oz. What comedian would try a routine that crazy? Frank Calidendo, that's who.

Frank Caliendo is a comedian who specializes in hilarious master impressions, and he is well known for his hilarious imitations of John Madden, Bill Clinton, Jim Rome, Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, as well as many, many other celebrities.

A veteran of MadTV, Fox NFL, and his own comedy series Frank TV, Caliendo has also been making everyone laugh like crazy with his uproarious master impressions and comedy act in Vegas.

Laughing Frankly

Frank Caliendo was born in Chicago and grew up in Wisconsin. He hit the stand-up comedy stages after college, then made his way to a TV comedy show, Hype, before making his way to Mad TV in 2001.Caliendo has also performed on all the major late night shows including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, The Best Damn Sports Show Period, Fox NFL with Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long (he also appeared at Superbowl XXXIX).

Caliendo also had his own show on TBS, Frank TV, and he made the joke he wanted to call his TV show The Chappelle Show 'but the lawyers wouldn't allow it.'

Caliendo Drivin' 'Em Madden With Laughter

Caliendo's impersonation of George W. Bush also earned him an invite to the White House, and Caliendo has reportedly done 120 impressions in his acts over the years. Caliendo himself has lost count, though when you come see him, you'll be treated to a good 35 to 40 impressions during his act.

Towards the end of his act, the impressions and voices fly fast and furious one after another, and that he's able to go from impression to impression that fast and funny is a tribute to his outstanding comedic skills (the title of his comedy album is also fittingly hilarious, Make the Voices Stop).

Because of Caliendo's spot-on Madden impersonation, he made his way to Fox NFL Sunday, guest hosting with Jimmy Kimmel, and he ended up replacing Kimmel when Jimmy left the program in 2003. Caliendo also played John Madden in the 2007 film The Comebacks.

At least one celebrity wasn't happy with one of Caliendo's impressions, hysterically funny as it was, and Caliendo said, 'I don't do these things to be mean, I do them to make money,' adding, 'My show is silly and goofy, it's not mean.'

Making Hilarious Impressions

As a big plus for families, Calidendo also performs a clean family show. 'I have 10- and 12-year old kids coming to see me,' he said. 'Why not appeal to as many people as possible? I have different generations of people coming to my show ' grandparents, parents and kids. Parents aren't going to be embarrassed sitting there with their kids.' Embarrassed, no, but they'll certainly be laughing and having a great time along with everyone else who comes to see Frank Caliendo.
