Chicago Bears Family Night is a family centered fans event for the pre-season training camp of the National Football Conference (NFC) Chicago Bears Football Team.
The Chicago Bears are one of the oldest teams in professional football and its fans are known to brave extremely cold weather to watch games against its NFC North Division rivals the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions. Tickets for even these extreme temperature games are almost impossible for the average fan to acquire so the closest many fans will ever get to see their beloved Bears up close is to come to a practice or the Family Night.
We will notify you by email when your tickets become available.
In the past these nights have had kids' areas and autograph sections but the focus was a practice game or session between the players. The fact that is it held on an August evening in Chicago instead of a December Sunday afternoon makes the prospect for fun and enjoyment all the more likely.
The Chicago Bears franchise is one of the founding teams of the original NFL and with the Arizona Cardinals (originally from Chicago) represents one of the two remaining teams of the then new league. From 1921 to 1970 the Bears played games at Wrigley Field, home of the National Baseball League Chicago Cubs, before moving to Soldier Field beside Lake Michigan. The proximity to the lake is responsible for the severe weather that has come to be expected in Chicago late in the year and particularly hoped for should the Bears make the playoffs. Even their much hated rivals the Green Bay Packers have been known to blanch and the idea of December in Chicago. The Bear fans would not have it any other way.
Chicago Bears Family Night is just like the title says an evening for families to go out to the Bears' Training Camp to enjoy being up close and personal with the team. It is held during the evening in August at the Bear's Training Camp field. The event features live entertainment and activities both before and after the practice designed for the enjoyment of the whole family.
