Atlantic Records is proud to present Shinedown is opening for Nickelback's Dark Horse Tour. Nickelback is excited to add Shinedown to their ticket. They like the band a lot. The Nickelback Dark Horse Tour starts now and runs through the fall. The London and Toronto reviews (from the John Labatt Centre and ON Air Canada Centre, respectively) have been praiseworthy of the band's valiantly strong live shows, setlists, and visual experience. It will be interesting to see what happens with the intensity level when Shinedown joins Nickelback. Will the bands jam a bit together on stage? The Canadian hard rock masters have kept the name of their aim of purpose the same for years: Rock Hard and Beautiful. And Shinedown (from Florida) have basically the same goal. Their songs "Heroes" and "If You Only Knew" fit in nicely with the post-grunge darlings Nickelback's new hits.
Both Nickelback and Shinedown love Led Zeppelin and Soundgarden as influences. Maybe they will do some surprise covers together (Nickelback have been already doing "Highway to Hell" this tour.) Nickelback isn't afraid of anything. They are happy to share the stage with the Jacksonville four piece band. Both bands pack as many great tunes as they can into a setlist that is extremely fresh and full of surprises. And that is what Nickelback is doing on tour (and what Shinedown hopes to do too): bring the fans who get to see them live the best they can. Today, Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair are giving people a great shot of rock and roll. Shinedown expects to live-up to the hype and rock-out too.
Nickelback is playing stuff off their string of hit albums: "Curb," "The State," "Silver Side Up," "The Long Road," "All The Right Reasons," and now "Dark Horse," their sixth album. "Something in Your Mouth," "Burn It To the Ground," "Gotta Be Somebody," "I'd Come for You," "Next Go Round," "Just to Get High," "Never Gonna Be Alone," "Shakin' Hands," and "This Afternoon" are all part of the new list of concert possibilities for the Dark Horse Nickelback Tour 2010.
