Carolina Hurricanes tickets for sale are our best sellers. In their first season, they lead a path to victory that culminated with a ticket holders dream of watching them with the WHA's Avco Wold Trophy. In 1979, along with Gordie Howe in the lineup, they moved to the newly built Hartford Civic Center and changed their name to the Hartford Whalers
1997-98 brought the Carolina Hurricanes into their first post-season playoff while based in their new home as they entered the competition for Lord Stanley's Cup. However, tickets were in much higher demand in 2002 when they spent the longest period in the NHL playoffs that they ever had. They fought a brutal series against the Maple Leafs and took them in six. For the first time in their history, the Carolina Hurricanes were headed to the finals and a ticket to the finals was the best gift one could receive. A ticket to the Stanley Cup finals was in even greater demand after the Hurricanes beat the Red Wings in game 1. This was a major surprise to everyone due to the long history, culture, and dominance that had been brought forth by the Red Wings. However, the victory of defeat in the playoffs proved to be short lived, as the Red Wings sent them home empty handed.
The years that followed what many considered to be a "Cinderella" run were bleak but began to look up for the Carolina Hurricanes in 2005-06. The incredible Eric Staal lead them to a first place in the East finish with an amazing 112 point season. The playoffs were again triumphant. A ticket to one of these majestic games was hard to come by but a wonderful thing to have as the Carolina Hurricanes slammed through the playoffs point by point, team by team. They paved a strong path to victory thanks to the hard fought battles on the ice by players such as Cam Ward, who was a Con Smythe winner and was not about to leave empty handed and watch their opponent head home with a smile on their faces.
Despite a long road of struggle that saw its ups and many downs, the Carolina Hurricanes have continued to prove that a ticket to see them in the regular season will gladly be rewarded by the promise of a future playoff series and another shot at the Stanley Cup.
In 1994, the team was purchased by Peter Karmanos, Jim Rutherford and Thomas Thewes. Rutherford took the mantle of General Manager and immediately named Paul Holmgren as coach. The team desperately needed restructuring after a few off years and a fresh start in Carolina was hopefully a positive move. After a few more difficult seasons, the team was renamed and re-energized as the Carolina Hurricanes. If there was any time to buy a ticket to see the Carolina Hurricanes, it was at the re-launch of what promised to be a strong franchise. Keith Primeau was drafted onto the team and on they moved trying to put NHL hockey and Carolina Hurricane tickets into the hands of people who were not as familiar with hockey as with other sports.
