Calgary Flames Tickets

When the wind blew the Atlanta Flames north, they jumped across the border and landed in Calgary, as the Calgary Flames, and staked their claim on the local ice. The Calgary Flames have a rich history of NHL moments throughout the history of the team; starting in the United States and in Canada where the team continues to thrive.

The race for the Stanley Cup has always been the dream of the team, as well as countless fans who have made it a point to have a ticket for the best seats in the arena when the Calgary Flames take to the ice. The latter part of the 1980's proved to be a defining moment for the Flames when the organization saw its way into a new era. Terry Crisp was brought in as coach to replace Bob Johnson who had left to coach the United States amateur hockey program. The Presidents Trophy was awarded to the Calgary Flames in 1987 but they were kept from achieving the Stanley Cup honors by their neighbors in Edmonton. 1987 and 1988 were owned by the Oilers as they took home two championships in a fierce back-to-back raid on the ice; much to the chagrin of season ticket holders of the Calgary Flames. Gallant effort aside, the Flames were burning hot for a sip from the Stanley Cup and would soon stand atop the podium of the NHL.

The Calgary Flames were lead into the rink game after game by the great Lanny McDonald. Many remember his appearance from the countless images of his handlebar moustache falling down from beneath his nose while in fierce battle with his opponents from Montreal. McDonald had a career of greatest behind him and he was not about to be remembered for his past achievements without fighting for the present state of affairs. Game 6 of the finals is remembered for his goals that lead up to a strong win for the Calgary Flames. At the legendary Forum, the Calgary Flames took home their first Stanley Cup and marked their place in the annals of NHL hockey. At the same time, they set a new standard for themselves to ensure a hot ticket franchise that was continually on the rise and a must-have ticket for regular season, playoff tickets, and the ultimate NHL finals ticket that would be coveted by any fan.

Despite many ups and downs that followed in the seasons after their Stanley Cup Victory, the Calgary Flames continue to fight for another finals victory. The 2003-04 season brought them close when they stormed the opposition in classic Flames style and ended up facing of against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Stanley Cup was taken home to Tampa Bay, but anyone who had bought a ticket to see the NHL Finals that year saw greatness burned into the ice.

Whether a fan has a ticket to see the Clagary Flames at home in the Pengrowth Saddledome or are a fan with a ticket to see them play in another city, a fan is always guaranteed a great few hours of NHL hockey action.

With a trade of Cliff Fletcher for Doug Gilmour for the 1988-89 season, and with the power of Theo Fleury, the Calgary Flames scorched a trail of ticket sale frenzies from the fire and ice they were serving up in the rink. After carving up Vancouver, Los Angeles, and then Chicago, the fire illuminated the finals as the Calgary Flames went up against the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Final. This was a rematch for which everyone wanted a ticket, as they had last seen each other in the finals in 1986.
