Byron Nelson Championship Tickets

Since its commencement, the HP Byron Nelson Championship has strengthened family centers and youth clubs'charities that receive HPBNC aid to the tune of $113 million. (Totaling more than any other PGA event of its kind.) The HP Bryon Nelson Championship is an early Spring PGA golf tournament that has been around since 1926. It was originally known as the Dallas Open. The tournament has been a constant part of the PGA for a very long time. After the assassination of JFK, the tournament was cancelled. By 1968, the tournament regrouped, renaming itself the Bryon Nelson Golf Classic. Jack Nicklaus's 1970-71 back-to-back victories, arguably, are the most memorable early moments of the Byron Nelson's history. Recently, in 2009, Rory Mario Sabbatini grabbed his fifth title at the Bryon Nelson. He nipped Brian Davis by a couple strokes. Unbelievably, Sabbatini now holds the tournament record score.

The Bryon Nelson Championship has released its 2010 schedule. Championship tickets are for sale now. The venue this year, again, is the Tournament Players Club at Four Seasons Resort, Irving. The tournament begins May 20, ends May 23. The Byron Nelson Championship falls between the Valero Texas Open and the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial'all three tourneys are in Texas. All Three purses are over 6 million dollars. Last year, Sabbatini took home $1,098,000. Holding the big trophy, Sabbatini simulated a kiss its direction, saying, 'Obviously this tournament is very special. To win it and look up and see Bryon sitting there at the 18th green'what a wonderful [man with whom] to be associated!'

This tournament has always been closely associated with Dallas. Various courses have hosted the event: Lakewood Country Club, Dallas Country Club, Brook Hollow Golf Club, Preston Hollow Country Club, Glen Lake Country Club, Oak Cliff Country Club, Preston Trail Golf Club, Las Colinas Sports Club, and the TPC at Las Colinas. Recently, the two main golf courses have been the Tournament Players Course and the Cottonwood Valley Course.
