Boston Bruins Tickets

One of the original six teams in the NHL, The Boston Bruins remain a hot ticket for fans in the city of Boston. The team was founded in 1924 when Charles Adams, a Boston grocery business, made the investment of a lifetime when he paid what was reported to be $15,000.00 for the new NHL franchise. As an homage to the business that helped him amass his fortune, Adams chose the teams colors as yellow and brown to match the colors of the grocery stores. Despite a less than spectacular launch at the Boston Arena, the team thrived on and moved into there new home at the Boston Gardens in 1928.

After losing to the Ottawa Senators in the 1927 playoffs, tickets were sold and then gripped tightly in hand for the 1928 season. The Bruins sliced and diced their way through the regular season and the playoffs and, finally, on to the Stanley Cup Championship where they defeated the New York Rangers and raised the Cup high above the city as the new Stanley Cup champions.

A major point in history for both the Boston Bruins and hockey fans world wide, was Art Ross. He was the coach who was helping to revolutionize the game and develop it into one more familiar in modern game play. The beveled-edge puck was his first major contribution. Following that, he introduced fiber guards to protect the players' Achilles tendons. He was also the first coach to pull his goaltender in order to add a sixth player when he was most need.

The 1970's kept Bostonians in the seats with major ticket sales and hard line action on the ice. Bobby Orr led the team along with Phil Esposito as they raced through the 1970 season with continual wins and ended up at the playoffs. Then the Bruins hacked through the finals with 4 straight victories over the St. Louis Blues to take home the Stanley Cup as the champions of the ice. Many remember the iconic moment when Bobby Orr slapped past defenseman Noel Picard of the Blues to score the final winning point.

Bobby Orr was and remains one of the hockey greats in the eyes of ticketholders and in the history books. The 1971-72 season saw Orr and Esposito repeat with yet another Stanley Cup victory. Bobby Orr was the pride of Boston as he also took home the Conn Smythe trophy as he scored the winning point for a second year in a row. He was the first player to ever do this; further cementing his place in hockey history and the NHL. Their defeat of the New York Rangers in the finals completed what was a perfect season for the Boston Bruins after ending the regular season in first place.

From the early days of hockey and on to the future, a team to watch and one to beat has always been the Boston Bruins. Breaking ground as they cut through the ice, this team has a fascinating lineage that continues to grow to this day and keeps fans of the Boston Bruins in the seats at the Fleet Center and makes those in need of tickets clambering to purchase them.

From the 1930's to the 1960's, seats were filled at the Boston Gardens with the wide eyes of early fans to ticketholders of each new generation. The Boston Bruins developed what was their own unique brand of hockey that originated with classic early players such as Eddie Shore and Tiny Thompson; collectively known as the "Kraut Line" for their brutal defense against anyone who came up against the team.
