Last year the grounds shook at Liberty National. Golf history was made at Barclay's. At the mere sight of the glorious golf course, but also with the surprising play and outcome, Barclays is enjoying a surge of popularity. With the look, challenge, and mind-blowing drama (like the very low ranked Heath Slocum's stunning upset and cliff-hanging final putt) of past year's battles, this year's tournament is ripe with anticipation. Barclays is looking ahead to its August tournament at Ridgewood Country Club, Paramus, New Jersey. This exciting tournament is known for placing the unexpected where the expected used to be.

The Westchester Biltmore has been in peak championship condition since the 60s. It has been the home of many tournaments, most notably The Barclays. It will be hosting the Barclays one more time, sometime before 2013. Many miss the old course, but more enjoy the new Ridgewood venue.

The Barclays has always varied its location. Now it will be mostly played in New Jersey. It is normally a 71-par course with less than 8,000 yards of course. The tournament record score is 19 under par, held by B. Gilder and J. Miller.

Will history be made again this year at the Barclays? The very challenging Ridgeway hopes to give all concerned a run for their money. The scenic 'nines' to the east, west and beyond the main clubhouse are a tricky threesome. The competition and fans are poised for another great summer match!

The Ridgewood is a 27-hole golf course. It is known for its high-grade, impeccably manicured Bentgrass greens and ryegrass fairways. In the last decade, nearly ten million dollars has been invested in the restoration of this fine course. It is scenic, utterly challenging, and designed very well.
