Anaheim Ducks Tickets

The Anaheim Ducks are quite literally a dream team that jumped of the motion picture screen and onto the ice in 1993. Originally known as The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, a name spawned from the 1992 motion picture The Mighty Ducks, they have blazed a powerful trail as fast as the game itself that has lead them to seven playoff titles within the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. A ticket-holders dream, they ultimately took home the Pacific Division title and then the Stanley Cup in 2007. Prior to that they held two Western Conference Championships in the same decade prior to the win.

The most storied team in the modern NHL, the Anaheim Ducks shocked the hockey world in the 2002-2003 season when they swept the Red Wings with a game four overtime goal against the Red Wings before their winning Western Conference run against the Dallas Stars, and finally the series sweep of the Western Conference Finals that included the record setting longest game in the history of the NHL. Prior to this timeless run, they had already gained major notoriety due to the marketing ties with the marketing juggernaught based on the ongoing fame of their on-screen movie brethren. Tickets continued to fly, as well, bringing droves of eager fans to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

In the next season, Craig Hartsburg helmed the coaching mantle followed by Mike Babcock in 2002 and soon after Bryan Murray found his way to the front office. This move proved to be the reservation for a one-way ticket for a flight on which the Ducks would migrate into a decade to remember. Rob Niedermayer, Petr Skyora, Sandis Ozolinsh along with Sandis Ozolinsh, Kariya, and Jean-Sebastian Giguere were all added to the players roster along with a handful of other bright picks. They helped take the Ducks to their first Stanley Cup Finals in 2003 where goal tender Jean-Sebastian Giguere was pegged as the playoff MVP with the Conn Smythe trophy. While not winning against New Jersey, they held them off for seven games and made it known that they were a team to watch.

While ultimately victorious, Kariya, Oates, Thomas, and Federov would soon leave the team, in addition to Bryan Murray. While difficult for the organization, they continue to move on based on the desire to be the team to beat.

The Ducks found a ticket to ride to the Honda Center in the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals. This was the year that they beat the Ottawa Senators for their first championship win. The winning goal was knocked in by Travis Moen and Niedermayer took home yet another Ducks Conn Smythe Trophy. As the first west coast team to win the Stanley Cup in the new decade, tickets continued to fly out of the arena and into the hands of fans who are just as important to the rise of the team as the players themselves.

Watching the ducks fly is a site to be seen and a ticket for high-speed action in the NHL.

After becoming a second wave expansion team in 1993 and immediate fast-track sales of tickets to an increasing local and national fan-base, they laid their ground on the strength of goaltender Guy Herbet and original head coach Ron Wilson who has become a top American-born coach. While the first season was not as remarkable as they would eventually become, it did see the debut of left-winger Paul Kariya who in 1993 was a first round draft pick and a runner up for the rookie of the year and a 50 goal season that followed in the next year.
