Alicia Keys Tickets

Soul diva Alicia Keys to you live in concert. Alicia Keys, who has recently sung duets with Jay-Z and the White Stripes' Jack White, is mounting a live extravaganza more like a Lady Gaga or Madonna concert than her solo-with-piano shows of old. These concerts will be fun for fans new and old. The European leg of her tour takes her to the O2 Arena in Berlin, the Festhalle in Frankfurt, the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Hallenstadion in Zurich, the O2 Arenas in Dublin and London, and the Bercy in Paris.

Alicia Keys' Freedom Tour has been "bringing down the house across the country and world-wide". At a recent show at Madison Square Garden in New York City she was joined on stage by both Jay-Z and Beyonce. Before the music starts, large video screens show images representing themes from her latest album, "The Element of Freedom". Then the lights start, spinning all over the arena. Alicia is then wheeled out in a huge cage, covered in oversized chains. She belts out her hit "Love Is Blind" while strobe lights flash and a smoke machine smokes. She then breaks free of the cage and the show really gets going, with dancers and a full band rocking to hits like "Empire State of Mind," "If I Ain't Got You," and "My Boo," her duet from 2004 with Usher.

After all this high energy mayhem, Alicia slows the show down with a perfectly timed interlude. She sits down at her baby grand piano for a suite of the songs that made her famous. "Superwoman," "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart," and "Pray for Forgiveness" are done with an effortless grace and we are reminded why we love Alicia in the first place. After a few more songs in this vein, the tempo picks up again for the soulful R&B of songas like "If I Ain't Got You." The whole concert is a perfectly timed and rehearsed spectacle designed to give you the most bang for your entertainment dollar.

Alicia Keys has sold more than 30 million albums world wide. She released her first album, "Songs In A Minor" in 2001 to wide acclaim, especially considering her bold mix of jazz and soul. Alicia won five Grammy Awards for the album. Her second album, "The Diary of Alicia Keys" was released in 2003. It debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and four singles from the album, "You Don't Know My Name," "Karma," "Diary," and "If I Ain't Got You" were all Top 20 hits. The album featured contributions from her friends Timbaland and Kanye West. Alicia's album, 2007's "As I Am" also debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and spawned four hit singles.

Alicia Keys' fourth album, "The Element of Freedom" is her latest release and was released in December 2009. She is currently on tour in support of the album. "The Element of Freedom" debuted at number two on the Billboard chart and is already a million seller. Critical reception has been good, most noting it as her most consistent and low key release. As usual, Keys wrote or co-wrote all of the songs and had a hand in its production. Her talent shows no signs of abating, and reports from the road on her live show have been "ecstatic."
