Alan Jackson was born in Newnan, Georgia in 1958. His first album, "New Traditional", was on an obscure independent label in 1987. "Here In the Real World", his second LP and first for major label Arista, was a big hit in 1989. His third album, 1991's "Don't Rock the Jukebox" continued the trend of hits.

In 1992's "A Lot About Livin' (and a Little About Love)" was huge, spawning five number one hit singles. Also, in 1992, Alan Jackson co-wrote three songs that were hits for Randy Travis. Travis returned the favor for Jackson's hit "She's Got the Rhythm (and I Got the Blues)".

Super country legend Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson has released eleven multi-platinum albums and won many awards. Though he only possesses one Grammy Award (for the 9/11 song), he's won thirteen Academy of Country Music Awards and twelve Country Music Association Awards. In March 2010, he released his fifteenth studio album, "Freight Train", which gives his summer tour its name. He'll probably introduce fans to new songs from the new LP, but rest assured: all the favorites.

Alan Jackson concerts are all about country music. He is not shy about giving the people what they want: all the hits. Jackson generally open a show with "Gone Country", striding right up to the edge of the stage in his famous ripped Wranglers.

From there, he and the Strayhorns break into a good portion of his 25 number one hits. Jackson will play "fun songs, love songs and hurtin' songs", alternating between upbeat rockers and weepy tear-jerkers.

His famous ode to 9/11, "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)", with iconic images of the NYFD firemen on the video screens behind him, leaves no dry eye in the house.

Alan Jackson uses five huge video screens to make his point. During the hit "Where I'm From", he shows images from whatever city he's playing. This draws howls of delight as various audience members recognize local sites and landmarks.

During the nearly two hour set you'll get to sing along with favorites like "Don't Rock the Jukebox", "Like Red on a Rose", "Chattahoochee", "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere", and " I Don't Even Know Your Name."
