Stephen Sondheim is of course one of the stage’s greatest composers and lyricists, writing lyrics for West Side Story and Gypsy, and writing the musicand lyrics for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and of course, A Little Night Music. Sondheim has won many Tonys throughout his career, more than any other stage composer in fact, including a special Lifetime Achievement in the Theater Tony.
